The ILA union and the US Maritime Alliance have agreed to increase wages for the general contract and to postpone further strike until January. This is great news! At least the docks should be opening again for the next couple of months to keep the negotiations open especially while Christmas imports begin arriving. That does mean another one could be happening in January if the ILA and carriers don’t come to a further contract agreement. But at least it’s postponed for now
